Chicago Area Tool Lending for Non-Profits, Community Orgs & Corporate Volunteers

About Us

Chicago Community Tools is a nonprofit tool lending program that provides fellow not-for-profit organizations, community organizations and doers of good deeds with year-round access to an inventory of tools for use in community benefit projects, facility, grounds maintenance and all types of volunteer efforts improving our communities.  We provide tools to enhance the charitable sector’s capacity to serve, facilitating hands-on volunteerism in the greater Chicago area.

Access to Chicago Community Tools eliminates the need for agencies to incur the expense of purchasing, repairing, and storing tools, reducing the costs associated with service projects and allowing these agencies to focus more of their resources on their mission.

Chicago Community Tools opened its doors in February 2020 as a completely Chicago based and operated foundation after operating for several years under a national affiliation. With the help of our sponsors and local volunteers, Chicago Community Tools is able to continue working on fulfilling our critical mission.

Chicago Community Tools serves community-based organizations by providing tools, equipment & expertise to empower their most ambitious goals.

Putting tools in hands to make a difference in our community.
